Our buddies from VE3D have discovered that ZeniMax Media, the owner of Bethesda Softworks, has purchased the ELDERSCROLLSONLINE.COM domain name.

When you take into account that ZeniMax received a $300 million investment to, among other things, “finance massively multiplayer online games” and that, as VE3D pointed out, ZeniMax opened up a online game division headed up by Mythic co-founder Matt Firor, then you definitely have enough pieces of the puzzle to believe that an Elder Scrolls MMO is in development.

If the characters are going to be as ugly as those in Oblivion don’t fucking bother.
