Chris Kohler over at Wired has an interview with Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi. He talks about the sure to be shitty Castlevania movie, the Rondo of Blood PSP remake, and lets slip about a new DS Castlevania game.

“WN: What’s coming up next for Castlevania, the games?

KI: First, we’re doing another Nintendo DS version. There hasn’t been an official announcement, but we’re doing it. First, we want people to enjoy the PSP version, and afterwards we’re announcing it. So, please wait a little bit.”

I guess Wired couldn’t wait.

The Nintendo Conference in Japan is going on right now first announcement is Fire Emblem DS.

It seems Contra 4 will not have the promised 4 player co-op, but will still have 2 player co-op. Contra 4 will be released November 13.

Matt Casamassina of IGN has taken a lot of heat for claiming in a podcast that Halo DS had been in development, he’s made promise after promise that he would provide evidence of it’s existence, and he finally has.

Some time ago, I blogged about playing a cancelled version of Halo DS. The game was the real deal, created by a real development studio and with a very big publisher. But for reasons we won’t discuss, Halo DS was never released. Clearly. Obviously. Still, it would’ve been cool, huh?

My Halo DS blog has haunted me since I posted it because many people were skeptical of my claims. I wouldn’t make something like that up, of course, but that hardly silenced any of my critics. When my brother called me the other day and told me that I even have a Wikipedia page that calls into question my Halo DS blog, I realized I had to at the very least prove that I hadn’t completely hatched the entire thing. So I figured what better way to mute naysayers than to show off the game I played. With that in mind, I present to you Halo DS videos and screenshots below. Please, somebody update my Wikipedia page.

Following in the footsteps of Viva Pinata, Blue Dragon is making the move from the Xbox 360 to the DS. Japanese magazine Weekly Shonen Jump is reporting, well just that it’s coming, and new information/screens will come later. It’s not clear at the moment if this will be a reimagining of the 360 version, a sequel, spinoff, etc.

The 360 version hasn’t exactly set the charts on fire, and the world, more importantly Japan, just can’t get enough of the DS, so this move makes a lot of (bizarre) sense.
