Ninja Gaiden 3 E3 Trailer

Day one of E3 brings us gifts from third parties, first off Ninja Gaiden 3, the first mainline Ninja Gaiden without Itagaki, and it’s bloodier than ever. Graphically it looks like it might be a bit improved over the Sigma games, but not by much, especially given the canned nature of this trailer.

This trailer is all CG, but it’s still awesome, and any mech fan should want to take a look. It’s coming to Japan in October, and hopefully the US not long after.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures & Star Wars Kinect Demo

Microsoft’s Kudo showed off Disneyland for Kinect to some french press who quickly put it online for all to see, and surprisingly it’s a collection of mini games, look forward to a Microsoft for soccer moms at E3.

He also showed off this Star Wars Kinect demo for E3, and it’s proving not too popular with gamers, but gamers aren’t too popular with Microsoft at the moment either.

Star Wars The Old Republic E3 Game Features Preview

BioWare released this E3 preview trailer for The Old Republic, shows off a little bit of everything, even the vehicles, and some cute little space battles. SWTOR looks OK I suppose, but it doesn’t look much better than Star Wars Galaxies, which was novel fun at the time, but not worth any real investment, and this looks to be more of the same, just another DC Universe Online.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North E3 Trailer

Warner Bros. put out their E3 trailer for Lord of the Rings: War in the North a little early to get out of the way of the oncoming hypewave for bigger titles and announcements, and it looks pretty nice for a licensed title, it’s not quite Dragon’s Dogma, but the big creatures are looking pretty cool.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City E3 Early Trailer

Somebody somewhere was kind enough to provide this early look at Capcom’s upcoming answer to Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. This trailer focuses on the team for the Umbrella corporation, I assume Capcom will release a couple more trailers before the end of E3 focusing on the other sides of the fight.

SSX Trick It Gameplay Video

EA put out a new video from their upcoming SSX reboot, and while it still seems to be missing a lot of charm, and proper level design, at least some of the mechanics on display seem to be working right here, though this new terrain reshaping gimmick they have, hopefully on in Trick It mode, seems to be a significant misstep. It certainly looks cool, and technologically impressive, but in the flow of gameplay it seems to be the equivalent of poor load streaming.

Hopefully they’ll continue to show more of the game throughout E3, perhaps a map with some actual designed elements, rather than big open nothingness with the same jump littered all over the place.

Prototype 2 E3 Trailer

Prototype 2 is coming, and it looks a whole lot like Prototype 1, except for the main character being dumped because some of the more vocal members of the games press didn’t like him.

The first game was a pretty solid HD follow-up to The Incredible Hulk, though it got slagged for not having a more hipster vibe to it like Infamous, the only thing that was really lacking from the first were the number of set pieces that were so frequent in Hulk.

I look forward to running up buildings real fast with this new bald guy.

Papo & Yo coming to PSN in 2012

With their many network troubles behind them Sony now feels like they can begin announcing some upcoming games for PSN, first Papo & Yo, a puzzle platformerish game with some strange looking red rhino demon thing, looks interesting at least, and is scheduled for an early 2012 release.

New Resistance 3 Multiplayer Gameplay

Sony better be holding back something interesting for their E3 presentation, because they seem to be dumping everything we know they have in the days before the event. Here they show off the multiplayer for the 3rd entry in the Resistance series for the Playstation 3.

It doesn’t look half bad for a console FPS, visually at least, though those skinny aliens just look ridiculous walking around the map like models prancing around in high heels.
