River City Ransom 2 Coming To Consoles

River City Ransom 2

The seminal classic River City Ransom is finally getting a proper sequel, and it’s going to be on consoles, instead of being limited to some bizarre Asia PC only pseudo MMO. Now we must all begin wirting letters to the developer Miracle Kidz asking that it be 2D sprite work only, none of this sad 3D that attempts to emulate the old style that has been cropping up in some of the spin-off games.

Gun Loco

Square-Enix in their infinite wisdom has seen fit to cancel the multiplayer downloadable title Gun Loco. The game should have been finished by now, and someone at Square must have finally looked at it. Good riddance.

Picture A Dead Nurse In Place Of Snake

There’s a rumor swirling about the internet saying that, according to Xbox 360 Magazine Italy, there will be a multiplay Silent Hill game for XBLA where players have to survive in the town of Silent Hill. Seems somewhat insane, but Konami is the company self-destructive enough to do it. Perhaps it could be fun, the Resident Evil Outbreak games never really had a proper shot because they just came to early for proper online console gaming.

Costume Quest Art

Double Fine has announced the first of their new smaller downloadable titles Costume Quest. In a move rarely seen outside of free flash games they’ve made it a holiday themed game, that holiday being Halloween. It’s described as an adventure/RPG, hopefully not to Diabloesque there’s been a quite few of those lately. You play a kid out for a night of trick or treating, and you battle imagined monsters using your imagined powers in a quest to save your little sister. Sometimes you will have help from your friends whose imagined selves are also defined by their cute kid costumes.

Costume Quest is planned for release this Halloween on Xbox Live Arcade, and the Playstation Network
