According to Deap Silver, developers of Dead Island, the ESRB was none too happy with their homage to lynching, and insisted they remove the strung up human shaped being from the palm tree. Square-Enix-Eidos finally released an actual in engine gameplay trailer for Batman Arkham City, and it look a hell of a lot like Arkham Asylum, but bigger, which is good enough. Check out the trailer, and decide for yourself who’s hotter Harley Quinn, or Catwoman.
Square-Enix in their infinite wisdom has seen fit to cancel the multiplayer downloadable title Gun Loco. The game should have been finished by now, and someone at Square must have finally looked at it. Good riddance.
There’s a rumor swirling about the internet saying that, according to Xbox 360 Magazine Italy, there will be a multiplay Silent Hill game for XBLA where players have to survive in the town of Silent Hill. They put out a new Brink gameplay trailer today. Seems like we’ve seen a lot of this game, but not really enough, perhaps that reflects the substance of the game itself, or just a promotional strategy. This trailer attempts to show off the class weapons, and I suppose it looks alright, as really uninteresting games go this one seems to have technically capable graphics at least, too bad the art is so terrible that that doesn’t really matter.
An insane amount of gameplay footage was put up for the XBLA game Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Thia should give you a very good idea if you’re interested in this or not. The art style is very nice, but very unchanging throughout.
Microsoft is having a pre-GDC event right now, and information is beginning to come out, the first taste is a great big image of the Gears Of War 3 boxart, scheduled for release September 20th.
Kingdom Under Fire 2 is looking pretty great for one of these one million troops, hack & slash type of games. This trailer is focused purely on the online cooperative mode.
It seems Bioware isn’t changing strategies when it comes to advertising Dragon Age games. Present a God of War style we’re so hardcore attitude, and then cover it in blood. Dissappointing that they continue to treat the most traditional franchise they have, and the fans of classic western style RPG’s with so little respect.
